Review & Test Weeks – Weeks 12 & 13

Hello Parents,

Our class will have their second round of Exams starting next week for this semester.

Please note the scheduled test dates: 

The Listening/Reading Test will be on Wednesday, May, 1^st.

The Oral Presentation Test will be on Thursday, May, 2^nd.

The Grammar Test will be on Monday, May 6^th.

The English Written Test will be on Tuesday, May, 7^th.

       The tests will cover the following:

FOR ALL EXAMS:

Review Communication book, Reader-Writer Book, homework writing books, quizzes and Unit tests for weeks 6-12.

Reader-Writer 4.2 Stories and Articles – Gasping Garbage, Smokejumpers, Lost City  

Be able to match vocabulary to its easy definition

LISTENING / READING TEST:

Use and trust your instincts. Stay focused and listen carefully to the whole conversation before selecting your answer. Some of the questions will try and trick you.

ORAL PRESENTATION TEST:

With your partner perform your Reader’s Theater script 4-6min long in front of the class

GRAMMAR TEST:

Fun Grammar Units 21 - 29

WRITTEN TEST: 

Review Communication book, Reader-Writer Book, homework writing books, quizzes and Unit tests for weeks 6-12.

Reader-Writer 4.2 Stories and Articles – Gasping Garbage, Smokejumpers, Lost City 

Understand what the different genres of the stories are.

The students must know the content of the stories. Please re-read all the main stories.

NOTE: Due to the short week and the Children's Day Activities that we had on April 2nd we have extended the Smokejumpers story into Week 10.  We will focus on the vocabulary from Week 9 page 20 of the communication book this week.  We will start the new story - Lost City: The Discovery of Machu Picchu next week and continue into review week.  We will resume the normal schedule after test week.
