Grade 6 A1 - Test Scope for first round of exams Sept / Oct 2019

Review & Test Weeks – Weeks 5 & 6

Hello G6-A1 Parents,

Our class will have their first round of Exams starting next week for this semester.

Please note the scheduled test dates: 

The Listening/Reading Test will be on

 Wednesday, September 25^th.

The Oral Presentation Test will be on

Wednesday, September 25^th and Thursday, September 26^th.

The Grammar Test will be on Friday September 27^th.

The English Written Test will be on Wednesday, October 2^nd.

       The tests will cover the following:

FOR ALL EXAMS:

Review Communication book, Reader-Writer Book, homework writing books, quizzes and Unit tests for weeks 1-5.

Reader-Writer 5.1 Stories and Articles –Satchel Paige and Red Kayak

Be able to match vocabulary to its easy definition

Be familiar with the sample sentences

LISTENING / READING TEST:

Use and trust your instincts. Stay focused and listen carefully to the whole conversation before selecting your answer. Some of the questions will try and trick you.

ORAL PRESENTATION TEST:

Create a 2-3 min oral presentation story based on Neptune’s Kingdom to perform in front of the class

GRAMMAR TEST:

Grammar U.  (P.37~39)

Master P. 1-8

WRITTEN TEST: 

Review Communication book, Reader-Writer Book, homework writing books, quizzes and Unit tests for weeks 1-5.

Be able to match core vocabulary to its easy definition

Understand the difference between Compound and Complex Sentences

Reader-Writer 5.1 Stories and Articles – Satchel Paige and Red Kayak

Know and be able to recognize the main characters of the stories.

You should have a good understanding of each stories plot.

Study the Article Play Ball!  p 115 Readers Writers 5.1
