Class 6-A1 - 1st Semester - Week 18 - Review Week and Test Scope

Hello G6-A1 Parents,

Our class will have their third round of Exams starting next week for this semester.

 Please note the scheduled test dates: 

The Listening/Reading Test will be on

 Wednesday, December 29^th .

The Oral Presentation Tests will be on

Tuesday 12/28, Wed 12/29 and Thurs 12/30.

The English Written Test will be on

Wednesday, January 5^th .

        The tests will cover the following:

LISTENING / READING TEST:

Use and trust your instincts. Stay focused and listen carefully to the whole conversation before selecting your answer. Some of the questions will try and trick you.

 

ORAL PRESENTATION TEST:

Create an original short script, 2-3 minutes long to be performed in front of the class.

Topic 1:  Pretend that you have just seen a dinosaur in New York City; try to get someone to believe you!

Topic 2: Pretend you are a mouse; try to convince a cat not to eat you!

Topic 3: Pretend you are a travel agent; try to convince someone to go somewhere!

 

WRITTEN TEST: 

Review Communication book, Reader-Writer Book, homework writing books, quizzes and Unit tests for weeks 11-17.

Be able to match core vocabulary to its easy definition

Reader-Writer 5.1 Stories and Articles – The Ch’i-lin Purse, Midnight Ride, and Waterhouse Hawkins

 

Subject-Verb agreement, Irregular Verbs, Action and Linking Verbs, Fact and Opinion

 

You should have a good understanding of each stories plot.

 

 

 I have asked the students to bring home their books so they can prepare for the exam.
